Chief Banned Tehreek Sufi Mohammad arrested from Peshawar
Police have arrested chief banned Tehreek-i-Nifaz-i-Shirhat-i-Mohammadi Maulana Sufi Mohammad along with his two son and a commander here in area of City Town on Sunday.
According to locals, Police Personnel some in plain clothes raided house located in City town area and arrested Chief banned TNSM Maulana Sufi Mohammad along with his two son including Rizwan Ullah and Zia Ullah while another person Tahir was also arrested.
After report in media that the Chief banned TNSM was living in Peshawar for last some 20 days Police launched crackdown and arrested him.
According to report of Private TV Channel, a militant commander Nadeem was also arrested along with Sufi Mohammad and his two sons. Private TV Channel contacted Acting Spokesman of TNSM Iqbal as saying he has no information about arrest of his chief.
Maulana Sufi Mohammad went into hiding after Pakistan army on the directives of Federal and Provincial Government launched operation Rah-e-Rast against militants in Swat, Lower Dir and Buner. The arrest of Sufi Mohammad could not be confirmed through official sources.
