Miliband arrives today

UK Foreign Secretary David Miliband will arrive in Islamabad for a daylong visit today (Tuesday). Sources in the Foreign office revealed that during his visit Miliband will hold separate meetings with President Asif Ali Zardari, Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani, his Pakistani counterpart, Shah Mehmood Qureshi, Interior Minister, Rehman Malik and other important Pakistani leadership.

During the meetings Miliband will discuss issues of bilateral importance, to enhance cooperation with Pakistan in different sectors, war against terrorism, rehabilitation of IDPs and reconstruction work in areas where operation is being carried out.

Sources further revealed that Pakistan will also raise the issue of delay in release of Pakistani students who were held on the charges of terrorism.

Similarly, sources said that Miliband is also likely to meet with PML-N Chief Mian Nawaz Sharif and Chief Minister Punjab Mian Shahbaz Sharif.
