20,000 automatic bread plants to be establish in the province: Hanif Abbasi
Provincial Incharge of Chief Minister Punjab's 'Sasti Roti Programme' Hanif Abbasi has stated that on the directive of CM Punjab Mian Shahbaz Sharif Rs. 8 billion has been allocated for "Sasti Roti programme" and 20,000 automatic bread plants will be established in the province.
While addressing in an inaugural ceremony of Mechanical bread plant in Sadiq Abad (Rawalpindi) here Wednesday, he informed that 15,000 breads could be baked with automatic bread plant in one hour and the masses will be facilitated with bread in just 2 rupees through these bread plants.
He also informed that during last year 12,700 'Tandoors' were provided with flour on subsidized rates and for this purpose provincial Government disburse Rs. 2.4 billion to facilitate the masses with 2 rupees bread.
Member parliament Hanif Abbasi further stated that the masses are also being facilitated with free health facilities and for this purpose Provincial Government has also allocated Rs. 6 billion to construct Urology and cardiology hospitals in the province.
He further informed that more mechanical bread plants will be constructed in Rawalpindi city and for this purpose the Government is surveying to establish these plants in the populated and middle-class areas of the city and special monitoring teams will also be constituted to ensure better quality bread at these mechanical bread plants, he added.
