Comments on Prophet Mohammad a writing error: SRK
MUMBAI: A day after a police complaint was filed against him for "hurting religious sentiments" in Islam, Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh said on Friday that his comments to a magazine were misinterpreted due to a "writing error".
The First Information Report (FIR) was lodged by the Mumbai Aman Committee (MAC) at the Bandra police station here on Thursday after they read in Time'N Style-Luxury that Shah Rukh had listed Prophet Mohammad as one of the most unimpressive personalities in history alongside Adolf Hitler and Winston Churchill.
'Blame it on a typo'
But Shah Rukh said it was a "writing error" and that he had named the Prophet among the most impressive personalities in history."Obviously I think that there is no more important figure in history than Prophet Mohammad in the most positive way possible. Also, being a Muslim and standing up for the tenets of Islam is my most important agenda.
If they (MAC) have seen my interviews on TV about Islam and Prophet Mohammad, they would know it's a writing error and not a thought or view that I believe in," Shah Rukh said."For all practical purposes, Prophet Mohammad is the most important positive figure in Islam," he added.Correction carried outA corrigendum from the magazine was also published across Mumbai newspapers on Thursday wherein the magazine accepted the error.
The corrigendum stated: "This is with reference to the interview with Shah Rukh Khan that featured in Time'N Style-Luxury Vol-1 issue: The answer to question 'According to you (Shah Rukh) who is the most impressive figure in history?' should have appeared as: 'There are lots of them. Some negative ones like Hitler.
Then Napoleon, Winston Churchill were impressive." 'If I can call it history then most impressive, positive figure Prophet Mohammad and from recent times there are the nice ones like Nelson Mandela, Gandhiji and Mother Teresa.' This is a clarification and the error is deeply regretted."Too late?However, an official from the Bandra police station, however, confirmed that the FIR had not been withdrawn even after the corrigendum was published.
Mr.Sharukh if you are right that there is a typographical error so you must file a suit against reporters who have dare to make such a big blunder.

Sharukh is pro-muslim and more of a muslim than an Indian.
I am surprised he is still accepted by masses with his overtures during the years which in not helping to build communal harmony.
The people who issued Fatwas are dumb to hurt him, he is doing more than he should for his religion. I think he should have got a taste about how rigid his faith has become.

Im the biggest fan of Shahrukh Khan. But if he has done this in real. then i beg to all muslims just kill him...
but if he dint then kill that bastred reporter.
If Shahrukh is a True Muslim, and Blieve on Allah, then he should himself lodge complain or FIR against that Magazine or that reporter for this unacceptable and hurting blunder/error for Muslims.
SRK used to be my favourite actor befor this criminal act what he has done .He should be brought to the court of justice.if he had commited this act he shoul be given the panelty of death otherwise the reporter who has commited that mistake should be given the punishment for the blunder ,what he had done.the most important if SRK is not in guilty he should go to the court against that reporter who had made that blunder if he(SRK) considers himself a Muslim.

Shahrukh is more 'indian' than he is 'muslim' and having married a 'hindu' he isn't exactly a 'good' Muslim! If he committed the crime and offended all the Muslims then in my opinion he should pay the price. Star or no star he is still a MUSLIM and should not have said it!!!

to me from what i have seen in his docummentary videos sharukh khan is not a muslim he is definitely a polytheist (mushrik) which obviously makes him a kafir,he is also insulting the Quran by putting it next to his hindu idols and then he worships them and after that he makes his kids kiss the Quran and recite which is a big joke with Islam.

I agree with all my fellow Muslims that if the Reporters of the magazine have changed his statement he should file a lawsuit against them.After all this is the biggest offence that can b gaiven to a Muslim.Come on Shah Rukh if this true stand against the reportes .We Muslims will support u if ur innocent!

SRK is the most diplomatic person.He knows very well how to fool the people.

Mr.Sharukh ,Salman Khan of Bollywood and other Actors and Actress who bow infront of Statue are not Muslim and there is no place for them in Islam.First of all Mr Sharuth kept Quran with Bible and Geeta together how he can consider himself or being call as a Muslim.They tried to play God with there money.
I'm Muslim and I'm always defending my religion to people who claim we're all psychos who want to kill people for not sharing the same beliefs as them but after reading these comments I understand why some people think we're crazy! You guys really think saying something bad is punishable by death?!!! What's wrong with you?!! I love Mohammed too, peace be upon him, but some Muslims are crossing the line and seem to be worshipping him like how the Christians started to worship Jesus.
