LAHORE: Chairman Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf (PTI) Imran Khan has warned military operations either they have taken place in Lal Masjid or Balochistan or Waziristan and Swat have led to dire consequences adding he stands by Pakistan rather than Taliban or military operation.

PTI Chairman said this while talking to journalists during his visit to PTI relief camp set up in Akbar Chowk for displaced persons of Swat Sunday.

Had water and electricity supply been disconnected in Lal Masjid, people would have come out but the government carried out military operation despite efforts of Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain, he alleged. Now after lapse of 12 days of implementation of Nizam-e-Adl , it was announced there was no option left except military operation., he remarked.

“We will ask in National Conference what had made the military operation inevitable. Operation was launched when president Asif Ali Zardari was meeting with President Obama. We will seek explanation from the government as to how the extremists had succeeded before demanding for end to military operation as I think exodus of 2 to 2.5 people is success of extremists”, he underlined.

No precedence is available in the history of nations that helicopter gun ships were used against people of own country, he regretted.

“We are not with Taliban who have cut throats of army personnel and neither we stand by those who are conducting military operation. We stand besides Pakistan”, he announced.

US senator had told drone attacks were being carried out with the consent of government of Pakistan, he said adding if it was proved as such then any one could file case against the government in this respect.
